  ... so I decided to shake up the system a bit ... this month's profile picture is not a Royo *gasp* ..... but a Vallejo ... but as always it is yet another fine example of fantasy art, which I happen to think gets far too little attention and appreciation .... but that's just me ...
  
  ... so anyways ... this month's quote "Deceiving others. That is what the world calls a romance." - Oscar Wilde was actually almost dismissed because my first reaction to it was "Oh ... this is too cynical" ... yes that's right I found something to be too cynical ... however, after a few moments of thought ... I ended up thinking that it is right on the money .... the popular conception of romance generally has more to do with lust than it does with love ... its a wild flight of fancy so one may have the luxury of imagining that life is a kin to a movie and all those romantic comedies that you dare to dream really do come true ... there is a point in every relationship after the falsehood so carefully created by romance fades and turns to ash and you finally see your partner for who they truly are .... once that moment of truth is reached .... that first moment of horrible honesty realized .... only love can save the relationship ... "Hopeless Romantics" are those addicted to a fairytale .... they want their fix of romance .... rather than the honesty of love .... when they say they want to be "in love" they really mean "in romance" ... caught up in a web of beautiful lies .... rather than face to face with the truth ...
