Alright, so pretty much during the entire campaign ... whenever Obama was faced with a tough question or needed to build up some fervor in the crowd he'd be all like "la de dah .... Bush Sucks" .... I mean he didn't really run against McCain - Palin ... he ran against Bush - Cheney ... and honestly ... with how drawn out this last election was ... it was starting to get annoying ... so when he was elected I was like "Wow, maybe he'll start talking about solid issues now ... and start giving some concrete plans" ...
... however, now that things aren't going as easy as first thought ... it seems the administration is reverting ....
Obama releases secret Bush anti-terror memos
... wow ... great ... ok so while the contents of these memos is pretty shocking and really speaks to how much it sucks to be a terrorist or suspected terrorist in America ... it isn't exactly unexpected .... as a proud government - mistrusting Libertarian, I just naturally assumed that at a point of high threat from terrorism that the government would be doing all sorts of underhanded freedom destroying things ... and quite frankly what is shown in these memos falls short of my expectations and I happen to feel that it is naive to believe for one second that when push comes to shove the Obama Adminstration would not resort to the same underhanded things ....
... anyway ... while its cool to know what the former administration was up to ... save it for the PBS documentary ... seriously ... Bush is no longer in office ... Obama has stated endlessly that he is for "change" so the content of these memos probably won't be the basis of any public Obama Administration policies ... Obama is still in his honeymoon period with the media (since he's a first, it'll probably be an endless honeymoon) so he obviously doesn't need to spike any political favor .... which leads me to the question ... what's the point?
... while we're wasting time with secret memos, the stock market is having another seizure and severe drop in blood pressure ... where's the "bipartisan" solution that will work that we were promised?
